Several U.S. schools offer online degree
programs that lead to a Master of Science (M.S.) in Finance. Finance can
also be found as a concentration within Master of Business
Administration (MBA) programs, many of which are offered in online and
part-time formats. Two universities that offer strong finance programs
are Indiana University - Bloomington (IU - Bloomington) and the
University of Michigan - Dearborn.

1. Indiana University - Bloomington
IU - Bloomington is part of the Indiana University system, which has eight campuses and over 89,000 students. The school was 75th in U.S. News & World Report's 2011 ranking of top U.S. colleges. In 2010, the publication also ranked the school 20th among top finance programs in the nation. The distance-learning program at the Kelley School of Business offers online degree programs in business and finance. The M.S. in Finance program is 30 credits and can be completed in two years. Also available is a 63-credit dual degree program leading to a M.S. in Finance and a Master of Business Administration. 2. University of Michigan - Dearborn
Located just outside of Detroit, Dearborn is a regional campus of the University of Michigan System. The school was 32nd in U.S. News & World Report's 2011 ranking of the best regional universities in the Midwest. The College of Business offers a 30-credit online program leading to a M.S. in Finance. The program is designed for professionals in the corporate finance, investment and banking fields. Finance can also be studied as a concentration within the 63-credit online MBA program.
