Summary of Online Business Law Courses

Online business law courses have a wide variety of applications used in many degree programs. Many courses in business law fall under continuing education are taken as parts of a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree; this credential is pursued after receiving a 4-year bachelor's degree and having taken the Law School Admission Test (LSAT). Other online business law courses are aimed at students pursuing an undergraduate degree, most commonly a Bachelor of Science in Law (B.S.L.) or a paralegal associate's degree. This course is an analysis of the procedures involved in forming a corporation, as well as the rights and duties of the members of the corporation, including directors, shareholders and corporate officers. Special attention is given to court-made legal principles that involve corporations as well as to the impact of federal regulations on corporations.

Corporate Securities Law

This course focuses on federal and state regulations and laws in regards to business and enterprises. The trading and issuing of stocks, bonds, and other securities is also covered in depth.
