Online Courses in Tort Law

Many colleges and universities offer tort classes in either fully online or hybrid formats. Undergraduate degree and certificate programs most commonly include tort classes in a paralegal or legal studies curriculum.

Online Tort Law Courses Overview

Since a law degree can't be earned from a fully online university, students more frequently take online tort classes through a bachelor's or associate's degree program in legal studies. Paralegal certificate programs are another option. Some classes are available completely online, while others require periodic attendance on-campus. Courses gear towards students looking for a career change or those interested in law school. Graduates may end up working for a law firm, business corporation or government agency.

Course Requirements

Basic requirements include Internet access and word-processing software. Students should be comfortable with Internet research, as they will likely conduct online legal research to complete coursework. Some individuals may need computers with video and audio capabilities, such as a web camera, for assignments and exams.
