Through an online master's degree program in management information systems (MIS), students gain both information technology skills and practical business skills. Students study concepts in project management and technology, designing and implementing business plans and general management. Students complete classes in business management and information technology.
To be eligible for the program, students must have completed a bachelor's degree in a related field and have at least three years of practical experience in the field. There are several online master's degree programs available in management information systems and related fields, such as computer sciences.

Part-time students can complete an online master's MIS degree in two years. Although the majority of the program is available online, some schools require that students make campus visits once per year or once per semester.
