Online Certificate and Master's Degree Program in TESOL

TESOL training is available online through graduate certificate programs, as well as master's degree programs. Certificate programs typically focus on practical training for classroom education abroad, while master's degree programs are more theory-based and focus on curriculum development, linguistics, methodology and research. A master's degree would be needed for individuals looking to teach in colleges and universities in the United States. Certification may only provide enough training for entry-level teaching positions in other countries.
