Online Classes in Nail Art

Nail art classes are available fully online; however they are usually geared towards completion of the continuing education of working professionals. All states require nail technicians to be licensed. Application for licensing may occur after becoming certified by an accredited institution, or by completing an associate's degree program in cosmetology. Online nail art classes from an accredited school are not available.

Overview of Online Nail Art Classes

Nail art refers to the creation of specialized designs or artwork on nails. Online nail art courses can usually be taken without any prerequisite by any student; however, all personal care workers must be licensed, and licensing qualifications and requirements vary from state to state. All states require an educational component which includes both theoretical and practical applications. Students interested in having such jobs as manicurist or nail technician may look into accredited courses on-campus or in the field to meet licensing requirements.

Course Requirements

Online courses in nail art require students to have access to a computer with Internet, video and audio capabilities. Most online courses are conducted by lecture and demonstration in DVD format. Additional supplies or tools may need to be purchased separately by the student.
